Our Members

SAALSMA is built through its members.

Our members are Aboriginal-led organisations, alliances and networks caring for land, sea and sky Country across southern Australia. Each brings its own knowledge, priorities and responsibilities, guided by cultural authority.

Being part of SAALSMA does not change that. It strengthens it.

Through the Alliance, we come together to share knowledge, build relationships and act collectively where it makes sense, while always respecting the independence and decision-making of each organisation. In this way, we strengthen connection across Nations and create space for a stronger shared voice for Country.

Join SAALSMA

Joining SAALSMA is about walking together.

Membership is open to Aboriginal-controlled organisations across southern Australia who are caring for land, sea and sky Country, as well as those who walk alongside and support that responsibility. Some organisations join as full members, while others join in ways that align with and support the work of the Alliance.

What we build together is shaped by relationships. Members remain anchored in their own Country and priorities while also being part of something larger - a collective that supports collaboration, shared learning and new opportunities. This can include working together on projects, sharing knowledge, or connecting with partners in ways that strengthen outcomes over time.

If you would like to be part of SAALSMA, we invite you to start a conversation with us.
